His personal values for integrity and client-centered care align perfectly with RPOA’s core values, and his unwavering dedication to his clients can be seen in and out of the office where he treats his clients like family and stands beside them throughout their retirement journey.”

Business Philosophy
Robert attributes his life experiences for his perspective on the utmost importance of planning for the future. After his service in the Marines, he embarked on a path that led him to his first job with a 401(k). However, he discovered that the road to retirement planning was often a daunting and solitary journey, as he lacked the guidance he needed.
This experience ignited an insatiable hunger for knowledge within Robert. He took it upon himself to educate and empower himself in the realm of retirement planning. His determination eventually led him to pursue a degree in the field, marking the beginning of his journey as a retirement planner.
As he gained experience in the field, Robert felt that some people do not have their client’s interests at heart, and instead take advantage of individuals in the world of retirement planning. Some have fallen victim to the sale of products that do not align with their genuine needs, driven by the desire for commissions rather than ethical considerations. It was this stark realization that solidified Robert’s commitment to the Golden Rule, not just in his personal life but also in his business endeavors.
He is a firm believer in always doing the right thing. Robert attributes that principle for his decision to join RPOA due to its core values of integrity and client-centered care. For Robert, it’s about providing people with retirement plans that work for them.
For Robert Tunnell, the satisfaction of knowing he’s in the right place and doing his right thing is immeasurable. His life’s mission is to provide individuals with the retirement planning guidance he once sought for himself, with the goal of allowing them to embrace their golden years with peace of mind.
