Background & Family Life
Matt was born and raised in Colby, KS. From his early days, Matt’s was a talented athlete, earning recognition as a multi-sport All-District and All-State athlete. His commitment to education was equally remarkable, consistently making the Honor Roll while actively participating in numerous clubs and activities, including Student Council. Matt’s path in life led him to become a student-athlete at Fort Scott Community College and the University of Richmond, where he earned a football scholarship. It was here that he honed his skills in teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. These qualities would later become integral to his business philosophy.
Beyond the professional realm, Matt is a loving husband to Kellie and a devoted father to their two children, Jacob and Jordan. Family is the anchor of his life, and he proudly coaches several of his children’s athletic teams. He finds immense joy in attending their concerts and performances, cherishing every moment of their growth and achievements. Matt and his family are active members of Second Baptist Church in Katy, where they have forged deep connections with their faith community.

Prior Business Experience
Matt coached and taught for 17 years at numerous stops in Virginia, Colorado, and Texas. Matt coached numerous college and professional athletes during his career. Matt comes to RPOA from a 6-year career at New York Life where he was recognized as one of the firm’s “Executive Premier Centurion Council Agents” in his first year and then their “Presidents Centurion Council Agent” in year two before moving into a Partner role building a team in the Houston General Office.*
