Benjamin Newport

Background & Family Life

Benjamin Newport’s journey in life has been shaped by a deep sense of duty, a love for his family, and a commitment to serving others. Born into a family with a rich tradition of military service, Ben continued this legacy by joining the U.S. Air Force out of high school. He remains dedicated to his military calling, actively participating in the National Guard and devoting one weekend a month to service at a military base.

One of the most endearing aspects of Ben’s life is his role as a father. With a three-year-old daughter named Amelia and a precious six-month-old named Molly, he finds boundless joy in parenthood. Molly was born on St. Patrick’s Day, adding an extra sprinkle of luck and happiness to his family. Ben’s heart is also dedicated to his faith and his church. He finds immense fulfillment in participating in various missions and community activities. He also enjoys spending lots of time with extended family, staying active, trying new foods, and cooking!

“Ben Newport is such a treasure to the RPOA team. He is a compassionate and dedicated retirement planner whose integrity is undeniable. From his military service to his community leadership, Ben is a model citizen we are proud to have as part of the RPOA family.”

Business Philosophy

Benjamin Newport’s business philosophy is rooted in a simple yet profound principle: treating others the way he would want to be treated. This principle serves as his North Star, guiding every decision and action he takes in his role as a retirement planner.

He is passionate about empowering his clients to make informed decisions about their financial matters, allowing them to focus on their life’s other meaningful pursuits. To Ben, the essence of his profession lies in helping families plan for the retirement they want, offering them the confidence and assurance they deserve.

Ben’s reason for working in financial planning came at a young age when his father contracted cancer. Though his father had some life insurance, he knew that his time was limited and that his wife, Ben’s mother, would need guidance in managing the financial aspects of their life once he was gone. Guided by the wisdom he gained from listening to “Money Matters with Ken Moraif” on the radio, his father sought help from financial advisors at RPOA to prepare for the inevitable.

Ben witnessed firsthand how this prudent decision made a difference for his family. His mother was provided with the means to invest conservatively, plan for Social Security, navigate taxes, and address various financial concerns. A decade later, the financial foundation his father pursued with RPOA still sustains his mother’s retirement. Seeing how his mother was treated and knowing what peace of mind this gave his father during his later years made Ben want to not only get into the same business, but also work at RPOA, so that he could help people the same way.

Now, as a husband and father himself, Ben understands the profound importance of walking people through the intricate decisions that come with retirement planning. He takes immense pride in working for a company that prioritizes integrity and strives to operate in the right way. His goal is to replicate the same level of care and support that his family received during their trying times, so that his clients can embark on their retirement journeys with confidence and security. Ben’s commitment to his clients is not merely a business endeavor; it’s a heartfelt mission inspired by his own family’s experience and a dedication to treating others with the same compassion and respect they deserve.
